Designed in 1959 by Prof. Peter Raacke, the mono-a cutlery revolutionized tables all over the world. By avoiding any design elements which used to belong to the exuberant embellishment in earlier days, Prof. Peter Raacke laid the foundation for modern industrial design of everyday objects. At the beginning, mono-a was punched out of a single piece of stainless steel, combining simplicity with functionality and marking a milestone in cutlery design.
